With Britain covered in snow and enduring the coldest winter for thirty years it’s worth a revisit to this glorious film from the BFI archive.
Shot in 1963, the worst winter since the white-out of 1947, this colour film shows how workers sought to overcome the blizzards and snowdrifts.
