Snowman of Doom
Britain has seen an invasion of snowmen over the past week. Let’s just hope we haven’t let ourselves in for a Day of the Triffids style takeover as predicated by this gruesome video.

Formula 1 Race On the Moon

Viral Ad: Total’s Formula 1 Race On the Moon
We say:
As a Formula One fan, the thought of lunar lapping is quite intriguing. For a start there’s the issue of gravity, as considered in the above video. The moon has one sixth of the gravitational pull on objects on its surface compared to Earth. Then there’s the near lack of an atmosphere. This would play havoc with a currently designed F1 car as the aerodynamics would be useless with no ‘air’ to speak of passing over their fancy wings and sidepods creating downforce and their high-octane fuel engines would splutter and cough like a heavy smoker.
Let alone the room needed for the driver’s space suit and oxygen tanks.
Still, leave all these issues aside and we have an amusing prospect as imagined in the video…
They say:
TOTAL, one of the world’s largest energy companies, has produced its first ever special event film that aims to promote its partnership with the Renault Formula 1 Team. Entitled ‘TOTAL Moon Race’ this short animated film is a virtual motor race set in the dream world of a 10 year old boy who is a passionate Formula 1 fan. The race, that takes place on the Moon, serves to highlight the critical and very real role played by TOTAL fuels and lubricants in improving engine performance to reduce fuel consumption and CO² emissions. It also illustrates TOTAL’s commitment to the Renault F1 team.

Student Protests in the 1960s/70s
Posted by Peter in Law & Order, Politics, Student, Virals on December 9th, 2010
Today hundreds of thousands of British students will be taking to the streets in London and beyond, occupying college buildings and dodging police kettles.
Their common cause? Fury at today’s House of Commons vote which is set to see dozens of Liberal Democrat MPs openly betray their election pledge on student fees.
Student revolt is nothing new of course. This video documents campaigning Californian students in the 60s and 70s. You get a nice rock/hippy soundtrack to boot.
