The Twitter Cops are on your case

Okay as the weekend beckons it’s time for another delve into the archive of video fun and here we have a nice little spoof cop show.
These cops aren’t on homicide or vice duty. They’re on Tweet duty. Touring around the tough side of town looking out for Generation Y wasters idling away their time on Twitter.
Remind you of anyone? Oh dear.
Iran Protests Continue

Fresh footage from the Iranian capital Tehran showing that protests are continuing against the result of the recent Iran Election despite the severe clampdown by the state security system.
According to the protestor who posted these images, this demonstration took place yesterday (Thursday 9 July 2009) on the intersection of Valiasr & Taleghani in Tehran.
Half way through the footage, tear gas is seen being deployed by the police and the protestors run for cover.

Iran Riot Police Trashing Private Property

There’s this neat kind of idea embedded into law enforcement that cops are kind of there to protect the public from attacks against the person and their property.
This quaint little concept seems a little lost on the boys in blue on Tehran’s streets. Fresh from a fortnight of bullying, terrorising and shooting their fellow Iranian citizens following the disputed election, they’ve now taken to destroying the public property they’re paid to protect.
Nice works guys – you put new meaning into community policing.

Iran : Shocking New Footage of Massacre

WARNING: This video shows a very graphic view of a seriously injured, possibly dying protester.
Once again thanks to the excellent IranWantsFreedom channel for this horrifying clip from yesterday’s (24 June 2009) demonstration in Baharetan Square, Tehran.
This is the most graphic depiction yet of the carnage being suffered in the fight for democratic recognition. It’s the kind of view you won’t be seeing on your evening news. However, we feel that it’s important to see just what is going on in the Iranian people’s struggle to obtain what many of us take for granted.
