Iranian State TV’s view
Back to Iran, again.
It’s always useful to see how state media operates during events like these. This brief CNN report shows how Iranian protesters are making voluntary confessions on TV and that all is relatively peaceful on the streets.
Ahem.
Regular viewers of BigHappyVideo will find these claims somewhat odd considering the bloody, defiant and brutal clips we’ve been showing from material produced this week.
Still don’t underestimate the power of controlled media. That’s why getting the news out on the internet and blogosphere is so critical at this time.
P.S. There’s a theory going around that we should all amend our Twitter accounts to say location Tehran and also change the timezone to their zone (e.g. London +3.5 hours). Apparently it will confuse the Iranian security services while they seek to close down Tehran based accounts. Does anyone know if this is of any use? We’d love your input on this one and other ways to help spread the word.
Please post your comments, tips etc below.
Iran : Shocking New Footage of Massacre
Posted by Peter in Iran, Law & Order, Politics on June 25th, 2009
WARNING: This video shows a very graphic view of a seriously injured, possibly dying protester.
Once again thanks to the excellent IranWantsFreedom channel for this horrifying clip from yesterday’s (24 June 2009) demonstration in Baharetan Square, Tehran.
This is the most graphic depiction yet of the carnage being suffered in the fight for democratic recognition. It’s the kind of view you won’t be seeing on your evening news. However, we feel that it’s important to see just what is going on in the Iranian people’s struggle to obtain what many of us take for granted.

Green Revolution On The Web
Twitter users have been helping their Iranian friends keep online during the civil unrest in Tehran and elsewhere in Iran following the disputed Iranian Election results.
While the Interior Ministry has closed down much of the web and mobile communications infrastructure in the country certain IP addresses are working there.
Twitter users such as English conmedian Stephen Fry have been posting tweets with the latest open IP channels e.g. 148.233.239.24 Port 80.
For the latest news from the region see Al Jazeera.
This revolution WILL be televised. Kick it over.
Gordon Ramsey’s Trouble Down Under
TV Chef Gordon Ramsey has stirred up a whirlwind of flak down-under.
His car-crash interview by Australian chat show prima donna Tracy Grimshaw led the cook to label the feisty host pig-like and a lesbian.
Watch this clip to see her po-faced response.
This showbiz spat continued with Aussie Prime Minister Kevin Rudd rebuking the Kitchen Nightmares star.
Unusually Ramsey has now issued an apology for any offence taken. You don’t get many of those to the pound.

Silvio Berlusconi’s Love Island Retreat – Nude Pictures Revealed

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s love island retreat in Sardinia has been exposed by Spanish newspaper El Pais. The video above is a collection of the sensational still images captured for their scoop.
They show the lothario politician – aka Papi – and his elderly male associates cavorting with a gaggle of stunning young beauties at his multi-million euro holiday estate in Sardinia.
It’s not just the Velinas (Silvio’s harem of TV broadcasters, models and actreses) who are seen getting their kit off in these snaps. There’s a full frontal of an aged gent’s appendage for good measure too.
