Aussies nick Freddie Flintoff’s car
Will the Aussies stop Fred from reaching the crease?
Looks like nothing can halt Freddie Flintoff from reaching the big game, not even two Aussie pranksters swapping his car for a dreaded pedalo. Check out the video then head over to eBay to bid on the actual pedalo Fred uses. They’re auctioning it off for charity, with the proceeds going to the Andrew Flintoff Foundation – a charity that helps fund physio wings in kids’ hospitals around the UK. So place your bids now.
Who Killed Summer?
We say: Topical title for this rather intriguing viral from Vodafone.
They say: The dramatic conceit sees 6 hot young music lovers from across Europe brought together by Vodafone for the summer of their lives.
(We say back: is this a slightly ill-advised/pretentious use of the word ‘conceit’? Whatever, someone SAS killed summer, that’s for sure.)
Play themanslator, the truth is ugly
Right this is where the ladies get their payback.
Tell themanslator something that your man might say to you and it will concisely and clearly tell you what he’s really saying.
Example:
He says: ‘Nice Hair’
themanslator says: ‘I live with my Mom’
Try it and pass it among your friends (just don’t tell the guys).
Wire walker in the city
We say: A neat new viral ad from that venerable financial rag The Economist. It starts with some pretty low level wire walking, but fair dues to the fella, he does do some cool higher level wire wandering by the end.
They say: “‘Red Wires’ – The ad depicts a man walking through a city on a series of red wires and closes with the strap line “Let your mind wander”.”
Roller Skating Babies
Ever wonder what your babies get up to when you turn your back?
A lot more than you might think if these incredible roller skating babies are anything to go by…
Lift the (Virtual) FA Cup
If you thought that it was only Chelsea or Everton that were going to get their hands on the FA Cup this week then think again!
FA Cup sponsor E.ON has applied the latest military technology – known as Augmented Reality – to the oldest domestic cup competition in the world. Bringing a modern twist to The FA Cup Final, it is giving potentially millions of fans the chance to see themselves lift the historic trophy!
The technology will be used to ‘transport’ people from sitting in front of their computer screen and into Wembley stadium to lift The FA Cup!
From 25th May people ‘lifting’ The FA Cup will also be able to record themselves within a mini post-match interview introduced by ITV football commentator, Clive Tyldsley. Once the clip has been recorded, fans will be able to send the video of themselves clutching the trophy to family and friends via email.
Phil Boas, Head of Sponsorship and Events at E.ON, adds: “To touch the FA Cup is a dream for millions of people. This technology, while perhaps not quite requiring you to go out and buy the silver polish, will get you a lot closer to the trophy than one team will this Saturday afternoon.”
