Black Grape – Reverend Black Grape
To celebrate the announcement that Shaun Ryder is to re-form Black Grape for a one off gig in London, here’s (a suitably rather frazzled) video of debut single Reverend Black Grape. It’s culled from the band’s first Top Of The Pops performance on 1 June 1995.
Having been lucky enough to witness Shaun’s first band the Happy Mondays on many occasions down the years, I’m chuffed to say I’ll finally be getting to see Black Grape at The Coronet, Elephant and Castle on 1 April 2010. Just hope it’s not an early April Fool’s joke.
