Danny Boy: Johnny Cash and Jimmie Rodgers

Here’s another of our videos celebrating St Patrick’s Day on 17 March.

Roll up Johnny Cash and Jimmie Rodgers to duet on perhaps the most powerful of all classic Irish songs; Danny Boy.

Go on, shed a tear, you’d not be human if you didn’t.

Strange Japanese Dancing Dog

Here’s a very strange looking dog – a Japanese Chin, apparently – doing a very strange dance.

Please tell me those eyebrows aren’t for real!

Would you swallow it?

Viral Ad for ActionAid

We say:
Fine viral, with a nasty sting in the tail. Still – I do fancy a beer right now…

They say:
Grolsch’s owner SABMiller is avoiding its taxes around the world, by siphoning profits into tax havens.

They’re the world’s second biggest brewer, making profits of £2 billion, with headquarters just off Park Lane. The taxes they avoid in Africa could put another an extra 250,000 children in school there.

When big companies avoid their taxes, ordinary people end up paying more. That’s why ActionAid is launching a campaign to make this company schtop tax avoiding.

To help us expose these shady dealings we’ve made a spoof ad for Grolsch. Please help us spread the word and force this company to clean up its act.

Incredible Dancing Dog

Following on from yesterday’s cute Every Home Needs a Harvey video here’s a another from a little while back. It showcases the incredible dancing talents of Carrie, the Chilean pooch.

The music is Merengue, but frankly, we think Carrie could put her hot steps to use in pretty much any form of dance from Salsa to Tango.

Rock on.

The First Music Video In History

Viral Video for Stella Artois

We say:
Not bad for a valley girl from Abergavenny.

They say:
The first music video in history, featuring Marina & The Diamonds and floating moustaches.

Marina and the Diamonds released her first LP, The Family Jewels (679 Recordings) early in 2010. She comes from a Greek/Welsh background and was born in Abergavenny, and was nominated for the critics’ award at this year’s BRITS.

Le CO2eux Soireé is a four part variety show created to launch Stella Artois’ new lightweight bottle, which contains less glass and therefore produces less CO2 emissions.

A follow-up to last years’ Recyclage de Luxe Show (see notes below), the CO2eux Soireé is also inspired by 1960s television programmes and is aired ‘live’ from inside the new bottle. Broadcast directly from 1963, the show features the ‘first ever music video’ – of Marina and the Diamonds’ hit single I Am Not a Robot – alongside a live set from The Mystery Jets, performing their yet to be released single Dreaming of Another World.

The show has been created by creative agency Mother and is supported with press and outdoor activity as well as an on-pack promotion. All four episodes will be available to view at www.facebook.com/co2euxsoiree

I’m A Cider Drinker

Here’s one of the new style cinema style video virals, this time for Kopparberg Cider. Scroll over the video unit above and click on it to expand the action.

The ad was filmed by Daniel Wolfe at the oh-so-trendy Notting Hill Arts Club, one of our favourite small music venues. It features the kind of hip-indie soundtracks you’re likely to hear at the late night music venue and a crowd of west London trendies grooving on down.
