Granny Beats Up Dirty Old Racist

In the week that brought us the web sensation The Peckham Terminator, it’s worth casting our minds back to January and this other London street justice classic.
Here we see an old man getting to feel the wrath of enraged old granny as she objects to his racist slurs outside The Mayday Hospital in Croydon.
In true Margaret Thatcher style, she uses her handbag to do the talking. As she lands blow after blow the old fella keeps spewing out his racist filth, enraging her ever further.

Eton Wall Game (1921)
Here’s an example of posh people acting like prats.
It’s culled from the wonderful BFI Archive. Shot in 1921 for a contemporary newsreel, the film shows the annual Eton Wall Game, held on St Andrew’s day each year. Apparently ex-pupil George Orwell once took part and we assume Prime Minister David Cameron and his old school chum London Mayor Boris Johnson might have had a shove too.
Jolly japes had by all.
85 year old Iranian protester in Tehran
Here’s the latest in a line of videos that we’ve been posting to bring attention to the protests in Iran.
Protesters have been out on the streets for more than a month now in response to what they feel was a rigged election in June. This video shows that the protesters are not confined to the young, mainly student demographic shown in many of the other clips coming from Tehran.
Meanwhile Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has formally endorsed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad two days ahead of his official inauguration.
Forever Wedding Entrance
This is the wedding season and there’s a reasonable chance that you’ll be heading down the aisle or watching someone else tie the knot this summer.
But would you have the guts to do it with this kind of style – ummm, hold on is that the right term? – ok, chutzpah of these mid-western folk?
This one was recommended by our friend Chelle over the weekend and has since spread faster than a nasty dose of swine flu.
On reflection though, isn’t the point of the day to reflect your love for each other? One senses that going viral on YouTube and the like was pretty much central to this full-figured piece of cod choreography.

Politicians Fighting in South Korean Parliament
Politicians in South Korea’s capital Seoul National start fighting on the floor of the Assembly Hall during a vote on a disputed media bill.
There’s some great fist action here, strangulation and cat fighting. Why can’t we get this kind of added value from our lame-duck legislators?

100 people in 24 hour Dance-Off
It’s the weekend. And we all like a dance. But let’s face it most of us need a rest after an hour or so of gyration.
For some though, there’s an incentive not to stop the dance.
At 6pm on July 7th the people dancing in this video will be part of a group of 100 people from all over Europe who are competing in a 24hr dance off. The last one listening to their Samsung BEAT DJ music phone wins. If anyone’s music is interrupted by a call or text they are out.
